In short: the calculators work in your browser and we don’t store what you type into them. If you join our email list, we keep your email address to send you updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we are
VisaCost Hub (visacosthub.com) is an independent website based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, email hello@visacosthub.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you join our list.
- Calculator inputs (such as course length or tuition) stay on your device. We don’t send them to our servers.
- Small preferences saved in your browser, such as your chosen currency and whether you’ve unlocked the full breakdown.
- Usage and advertising data collected by our advertising partner (Google AdSense) through cookies, if you allow them.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To send you the updates you asked for (visa fee changes, Visa Bulletin, Express Entry draws) and occasional offers, including products and services we may earn a commission from. Basis: your consent.
- To show ads that keep the calculators free. Basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
Who we share it with
- SendFox, our email provider, stores your email address and sends our emails on our behalf.
- Google, for advertising (AdSense). See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Exchange rates are loaded from public rate services. They receive standard web request data such as your IP address, but nothing you type.
We never sell your email address.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that, we keep only what’s needed to make sure we don’t email you again.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To make a request, email hello@visacosthub.com. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
